Fast Food Sales

Japan Fast Food Restaurant Sales

The Japan Food Service Association published new data on the fast food market in Japan. According to the data, the number of customers and the sales volume decreased subsequently since January 2010. However, the number of customers is still higher than 9 months ago.

The fast food market is one of the most competitive in Japan's consumer markets. Earlier this year, American fast food chain "Wendy's" was forced to close all its stores due to fierce competition. Burger King  has faltered  several times under competitive pressure over the years,  although it is again operating stores in Japan.
