LCD TV Production

Japan LCD TV Production -- Latest Market Data, Feb. 2010

The Japan Electronics and Information Technologies Industries Association (JEITA) announced its latest data on liquid crystal display (LCD) TV production  in Japan. JEITA puts total production of LCD TVs at 823.000 units in February 2010. The number, although less than January 2010 output,  is a substantial increase on a year-on-year basis. The YoY change was positive for production units over the last 9 months as well as in value for the last 4 months.

Industry sales forecasts for LCD TVs are bullish. The slowly recovering global economy are benefiting consumer demand for the home electronics. Asian companies, especially Korean and Japanese firms, see this as an opportunity to maintain and strengthen global competitiveness in the home electronics field. Recent advances in 3-D technology for LCD TV displays are helping support a buoyant consumer outlook for LCD makers.
