Now when business people arrive in Japan their first stop is often a Tokyo hotel in the central business area.   The visitor is struck by the dense and fairly well-organized frenzy of economic activity.   This is due  to the agglomeration of economic activity:  Of the 2,000 plus super-large corporations listed on the 1st section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange,  some 970 firms are crowded into just three of the most central wards of the city, Minato, Chiyoda and Chuo (encircled in red on the map and shown in red in the right-side list).
